Where did it start?
Sushovan Goswami's business journey started in 2019, when he began working as a freelance video editor, driven by a love of visual storytelling. It was client work from day one: briefs, deadlines, revisions and people paying for an outcome.
How did freelancing turn into a business?
Freelancing grew into a video production business working with MNCs and corporates. Over the next few years Sushovan went from freelancer to business owner, building and running more than one service business and leading teams.
Running those businesses meant living the same problems his clients bring to him today: full months followed by quiet ones, work that depended on him personally, and marketing that produced plenty of activity but not much predictable revenue.
Where did systems and automation come in?
Along the way he became more and more interested in strategy and automation. Through Growth x Creation, he helped business owners automate their high-ticket booking process with smart systems, saving them time and effort on every enquiry.
That work made one thing very clear: automation and ads amplify whatever is already there. A clear offer and a solid sales process get stronger. A messy one just gets messier, faster. Leads don't equal revenue. The conversion system does.
What did running his own businesses teach him?
- Clarity before execution. Running ads because ads are available is not a strategy. Know who the customer is and what happens after a lead arrives.
- Find the real bottleneck. "Marketing isn't working" usually hides an offer, follow-up or sales problem.
- System first, people later. Hiring someone to cover a broken process just spreads the problem around.
- Data decides. If you don't measure, you guess. If you guess, you lose money.
- Simple beats complicated. Simple funnels, simple offers, clear responsibilities, numbers you can actually read.
Why did he start Growth X Mentor?
In his own words: "I've built and operated multiple service businesses myself, and now I mentor founders who want to move from inconsistent revenue and founder-dependence to predictable, system-driven growth."
The founders he wanted to help were already earning, typically between ₹1L and ₹3L a month: agency owners, chartered accountants and tax consultants, financial advisors, coaches and consultants. They didn't need motivation or another course. They needed someone to diagnose what was actually capping them, and a system to fix it.
So in March 2024 he started Growth X Mentor (GXM) under ImpactX RadhaSwami Creations Pvt. Ltd., the company he runs as Director. The video production work and the mentorship both sit under that same parent company.
How does that experience shape GXM today?
What he learned the hard way became the way GXM works:
| What running his own businesses showed him | How Growth X Mentor works |
|---|---|
| Full months, then empty ones | A steady weekly acquisition rhythm, not bursts |
| Everything depended on the founder | System first, people later |
| Ads and tools amplified the mess | Clarity and offer before more leads |
| Guessing where the money went | Tracking cost per lead, show-up rate and close rate |
That order of work is written down as the Growth X Framework: Clarity → Offer → Funnel → Leads → Sales → Systems → Scale. If the busy-then-empty pattern sounds familiar, start with why your pipeline dries up when you get busy.
How does he work today?
Growth X Mentor operates remotely with a deliberately lean structure: senior-level thinking, specialist-level execution and fast decisions. Every engagement begins with clarity before execution. Sushovan works 1:1 with founders through weekly mentoring sessions, and the founder stays the decision-maker and the one who executes.
He is based in Kolkata, and he shares founder lessons on Instagram at @sushovan_goswami.
What's one result he shares publicly?
Mr Tanishq Agarwal joined, spent ₹15,000 on ads, and made over ₹2.5 lakh. Results depend on implementation and consistent execution, so GXM doesn't promise a number. It promises a clear diagnosis and a plan you can execute.
